Giving Thanks and DevDays 2017

Here in the US, it is a few days from our Thanksgiving holiday. This is a time to reflect on all the good things that have occurred in 2017 and especially a time to spend with family. This year I wanted to express my thanks to the great ConfD community and your ability to help improve other’s experiences.

We recently had our DevDays 2017 event in San Jose. This event exemplified this to me as I watched long-time users and brand new users connect and discuss ways to improve programmability through the use of ConfD. I know that new friendships and bonds were created during everyone’s time together. I am proud to be a part of this community and look forward to another year of engagement and opportunities to share what’s new and learn from you.

The event was successful because of you, our family. Attendees were surveyed on how they felt the show went and what topics really resonated with them.  93 percent of attendees said the event was very good. The sessions that stood out from the rest included ConfD Security & Deployments, YANG Best Practices, and XPath in NETCONF and YANG. It is no wonder the attendees felt that the event was very good. Next year’s event will be better as we apply improvements that you the community shared with us at the show and after through our survey.

We express our thanks and gratitude to each of you as you help Tail-f succeed. We hope that 2018 will be a great new year for you in many ways; not just with ConfD, but in all that you do. Whether you are inside or outside the US, we thank you and expect great things in the future as we move to improve programmability and network agility.
