Tail-f Systems Joins the OpenSAF Foundation

Tail-f Systems, the leading developer of on-device configuration management software for the providers of networking equipment, today announced its membership in the OpenSAF Foundation (www.opensaf.org).

The OpenSAF Foundation was founded by leading Communications and Enterprise Computing
Companies to facilitate development of a base platform middleware consistent with Service
Availability Forum (SA Forum) specifications under the LGPLv2.1 license
“We see increased interest from our customers in a base middleware platform based on SAForum’s
open specifications using an open source model.” said Håkan Millroth, CEO Tail-f Systems “we are
excited to join the foundation to be able to contribute back to the project using the experience we
have gained from pre-integrating of our ConfD product with the OpenSAF code base”.
As a Supporter Member, Tail-f will contribute YANG management interface models to the project.
