Tail-f Systems Releases New TailPacks for Faster Integration Between ConfD and IP Infusion ZebOS® Routing Protocol Modules

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – April 27, 2010 – Tail-f Systems, the leading developer of on-device configuration management software for networking equipment providers, today announced the release of new TailPacks to help developers integrate ConfD with IP Infusion ZebOS® routing protocol modules.

Tail-f Systems’ TailPacks are libraries of software that help developers get applications up and running faster. TailPacks reduce development and testing time, minimize project risk, and decrease the time developers spend integrating third party components.

IP Infusion’s ZebOS Network Platform is a scalable, robust and standards-based Layer 2 and Layer 3 carrier-class switching and routing software solution that allows OEMs to rapidly add networking capabilities to their new or existing lines of communications products. ZebOS’ platform-independent architecture enables OEMs to choose from an impressive array of protocols and solutions to add to their equipment offerings.

“Tail-f Systems’ ConfD is the leading solution for on-device configuration management,” said Shane Rigby, Vice President Global Sales, IP Infusion Inc. “Now our mutual customers will be able to bring their products to market faster while leveraging two best-in-class solutions.”

The ZebOS-enabled Control TailPacks allow ConfD to manage three of IP Infusion’s ZebOS routing protocol modules. A TailPack allows an operator to configure, monitor, and issue administrative actions to the ZebOS module.

“We are excited to expand our TailPack solutions with the release of the ZebOS-enabled Control TailPacks,” said Urban Lindegren, VP of Worldwide Sales, Tail-f Systems. “IP Infusion’s ZebOS routing protocol solutions are the gold standard in our industry and I know our customers will appreciate new tools to facilitate the integration between our products.”

The modules supported by the family of ZebOS-enabled Control TailPacks are the Base Control module, RIP Routing Protocol module, and the OSPF Routing Protocol module. Individual routing protocol modules must be acquired from IP Infusion for a TailPack to work.
