STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – May 18, 2010 – Tail-f Systems, the leading developer of on-device configuration management software for networking equipment providers, will speak at the annual Network Automation conference in Paris, France next month. Tail-f Systems’ Johan Bevemyr and Carl Moberg will deliver separate presentations about the benefits of NETCONF and the YANG data modeling language for automated device and service provisioning.
Scheduled for June 1-3 at the Hotel Novotel Convention & Wellness Roissy CDG, the conference is designed for networking equipment providers and carriers interested in more cost effective network automation implementation solutions.
On June 1st Johan Bevemyr, Tail-f System’s Chief Software Engineer, will open the event with a full day Technical Tutorial focused on the NETCONF protocol and YANG data modeling language. After an introduction to NETCONF and YANG, Bevemyr will lead a discussion about how transactional configuration changes are supported, guardrails can be achieved, and configuration validation can be performed before applying a new set of configurations. Carl Moberg, VP Engineering, Tail-f Systems, will deliver the conference keynote address on June 2nd. His presentation, entitled “Dynamic Service Configuration and Automated Network Configuration with NETCONF and YANG,” will explore how NETCONF and YANG simplifies automated device and service provisioning, and helps developers eliminate expensive, complicated and error prone ad hoc scripting techniques.
“NECONF and YANG represent a paradigm shift in way networks will be configured,” said Moberg. “The increasing complexity of carrier and enterprise networks and the demand for new services is driving the need for improved configuration management systems. We are looking forward to discussing how automated configuration management will reduce costs, increase reliability, and respond to customer needs.”
