The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. – Mark Twain
We are still being asked how the acquisition by Cisco has gone and ultimately are we still open for business. The answer is an emphatic, YES!
The past few months have been a whirlwind of excitement with the recent acquisition by Cisco and the continued momentum around NETCONF and YANG. Our experts have been attending regular industry events, sharing demos and answering many questions on the future of orchestration, NFV and of course NETCONF and YANG. We continue to operate under the Tail-f brand and to sell the industry leading on-device configuration product, ConfD.
As telecom providers continue to deploy new technologies such as cloud computing and NFV, network equipment providers need innovative solutions to frequently update their equipment. This is critical in order to remain competitive and keep the equipment from becoming obsolete. Simply shelving the industry leading technology made no sense to anyone, so we continue to offer ConfD to meet the industry needs.
We are excited about the future of ConfD and what it can do for network equipment providers and independent software vendors as they navigate the ever-changing features and services that today’s CSPs require. Stay tuned to our blog for the latest on NETCONF and YANG.
